I promised phots of my work that was one of the top 50… in the Fibre Arts Take Two exhibition entitled Time We’ll Spent. We have had the celebration for artists and awards were given out and a book is now also available for the whole exhibition. I’m still quite excited, and really pleased that ‘heartwood’ touched the judges enough to be included.

This is the front, it is all hand embroidered with various kinds of thread. My favorite being silk threads. It stands about 15 1/2 inches tall

This is the back, I pleated ultra suede to form the back and added a strip of patterned brown silk across some of the larger pleats for it reminded me of bark . The base fabric for the front was linen.
