I have been making. I didn’t post as I was kind of reluctant to get busy and do the work on this site, for it seems to take an inordinate amount of time. It used to be easy but perhaps with the new updates and such I find I’m not as interested in computing as I am in making. But one does always want to share what is made.. and so here I am once again.
At the beginning of this year I was working out how to make a soft vessel using no stiffener or wire, I did some research and discovered this process called Canadian Smocking, and decided to try it. I just did a straight sample piece and it sat for some weeks then I decided to do a second piece and join them together to see if the vessel would stand on its own… it did and I loved it empty for a few days, calling it the rose bowl. But then I thought one day why not make a rose to go in it… and I did.
